As Rukungiri district is headed for polls at the end of this month, a cross section of the NRM ‘s top Central Executive Committee members have been pitch camping in various strategic districts to bolster the party’s Software and Hard ware functionaries.
This comes in the wake of the party’s renewed efforts in reinstating and consolidating the party’s mathematical support both Locally, Nationally and Internationally. One of the leaked lethagic strategies that will cause heads to roll, has been to capture all upcoming district Council seats that the electoral commission recently declared.
The team headed by Chairman of the NRM’s Workers League Hon James Tweheyo revealed that Rukungiri is one of those districts of our Vested, greatest and passionate interest that we want to immediately redeem from the unforgiving hands of opposition.
As you read this, Shock, Panic, grief and fears have engulfed Rukungiri as Both the Male and Female Workers Councillors are all NRM unopposed. Hon Tweheyo added that, Our message to the people has been so thrilling and that a party of order or stability and a party of progress or reform are both necessary elements of a healthy state of a political life, and that’s the NRM, Tweheyo notes.
Other districts that have already surrendered to NRM Party in similar positions include; Sironko, Ibanda, Kaabong, Mubende, Kibaale, Mpigi, Yumbe, Kotido, Omoro, Zombo, Buhweju among others. More tactical deployment is being carried out by Hon James Tweheyo to see it that the mission is accomplished before reading of the National Budget.
Other functions of the Central Executive Committee include the following; providing and exercising political leadership in the country, formulating policy for consideration by NEC, supervising the day-to-day conduct of the organisation’s activities, appointing organisational functionaries from amongst members of NRM, propagating the NRM policies, and recommending to NEC, NRM candidates seeking nomination for the offices of national chairperson, vice chairperson, secretary general, deputy secretary general and national treasurer and presidential candidate for NRM.
